A. Michael Streit graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance. Following graduation, Mr. Streit moved to Changchun, China where he studied Chinese for two years. From there he went on to study at the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School where he was an associate with the Buffalo Human Rights Law Review.

Mr. Streit is admitted to practice in the State of New York and resides in Amherst with his wife, Jin Bing, and son, Alexander.
