JESSE J. COOKE earned his BA in History from the State University of New York College at Buffalo after completing a semester abroad at Middlesex University in London. Jesse went on to concurrently earn his MBA from W.P. Carey School of Business and his JD from the Arizona State University College of Law.
Jesse concentrates his practice on insurance coverage litigation.His legal and business training make him especially suited for addressing disputes among complex commercial entities.
As a law student, Jesse was an editor with the Arizona State Law Journal and the author of two published articles relating to insurance coverage litigation.One such publication, Beyond an Unfortunate ‘Occurrence’; Insurance Coverage and the Equitable Redress of Sexual Predator Priests, was recognized as the Arizona State Law Journal’s Best Comment of 2003-2004.ASU honored Jesse with the Couch Fellowship Award for two years of service as a student author and editor of the insurance coverage treatise series entitled Couch On Insurance 3d. The Homeless Legal Assistance Project recognized Jesse with the Outstanding Student Volunteer Award and the Outstanding Student Director Award for his pro bono services to the homeless community in the Phoenix area.
Jesse is proud to have graduated with highest pro bono distinction for contributing more than 150 hours of pro bono service during his law school tenure.Jesse also participated in externships for the Honorable Charles Case II at the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Arizona, and at the Arizona Center for Disability Law.
Prior to joining KSLN, Jesse worked in the Phoenix office of Jennings, Strouss & Salmon, PLC in the corporate law and employment law practice groups, and at the Law Offices of Michael Fairbairn Cordova, PC, a criminal defense and personal injury practice. Jesse is a member of the Erie County, New York State, and American Bar Associations.
Jesse and his wife love to be outdoors. The couple completed the San Diego Marathon in 2002 and the Phoenix Rock n’ Roll Marathon in 2004. More recently, Jesse and Jill get their exercise chasing after their children, Lily and Jack, who keep them running day and night.
