Patrick S. Kenney Appointed to Judicial Hearing Officer Selection Advisory Committee
Kenney Shelton Liptak Nowak (KSLN) is pleased to announce that Patrick S. Kenney has been reappointed to the Judicial Hearing Officer Selection Advisory Committee for the Fourth Judicial Department. According to Chief Administrative Judge Jonathan Lippman, the Advisory Committee fulfills the highly important role of evaluating and recommending candidates of the highest caliber for the position of Judicial Hearing Officer.A 1982 graduate of the South Texas College of Law, Kenney focuses his practice in the litigation and defense of complex civil cases. He first developed his experience as a trial lawyer while serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Houston, Texas, and Buffalo, New York. Over the past 25 years, he has successfully represented individuals and corporations in all phases of motor vehicle, construction accident, product liability, arson and fraud matters, as well as insurance defense and self-insured defense litigation before the New York State Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court, Western District of New York.
Kenney is also experienced in complex accident reconstruction and has coordinated accident reconstruction, biomechanical analysis and damages experts. He has defended numerous catastrophic tractor-trailer accidents on behalf of local and national transportation companies, and has lectured extensively on accident investigation and risk management.
Kenney is one of the most active defense trial attorneys in the Buffalo area. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Erie County Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas and NAPSLO. Kenney is a Director and Legal Counsel for the Insurance Club of Buffalo, is an active member of the New York Insurance Association where he serves on the Education and Membership committees, and a member of the Sports Lawyers Association. He is a former member of the Buffalo General Foundation and Leadership Buffalo.
